You are invited to take part in the audience at Channel 17 CCTV at 2 pm while we live-stream and record for cablecast a panel discussion on the success of French K-5 immersion programs in schools in NY, Maine, Utah, and a half-dozen other states. Fabrice visited us last year to tape this show as Education Attaché for the French Embassy, and is returning having just published The Bilingual Revolution, his book summarizing his groundbreaking research. Channel 17 CCTV is at 294 N. Winooski Avenue in Burlington, with an ample parking lot. Use the entrance off of the parking lot toward the rear of the building, and cross the lobby to the elevator or stairs to the second floor. We're inviting our bilingual School Superintendent Yaw Obeng and City Council President Jane Knodell, who did part of her graduate work in economics at the Sorbonne and who hopes next year to initiate a review of the Council's unanimous 2011 French-friendliness resolution. We'd love to add the vibrancy of a live audience in the studio and can take your questions during the program. Please join us if you can, kids are welcome, refreshments will be served, so help us promote a K-5 French immersion curriculum in schools in Burlington and our neighboring communities.
